YOUR NEW ROLE
As the new Day Service Team Leader your role involves taking
leadership and responsibility for programme offerings in line with day
attendees? goals and preferences with revision on a quarterly basis
and communicated to all day attendees and staff through an individual
timetable.
The role is also a key lead on the building of effective partnerships
as a central element of support to each person (family, friends,
community groups etc.) and as a core resource to the model of service
your new company offers.
You should ensure working within the main legislative and policy
frameworks, New Directions, Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons at Risk of
Abuse National Policy & Procedure, Assisted Decision-making Act, etc.
You will also coordinate and communicate directly with the Day
Services Manager on a weekly basis, at a minimum, to ensure that
day-to-day operations, programmes and incidents are documented and
expressed, and all other duties are completed.
This is a pivotal role within the organisation and is a full-time,
permanent position.?You must demonstrate the capacity to lead and
develop services, underpinned by the principles of person centeredness
and quality to ensure each person you support achieves their optimum
potential.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
In order to succeed in your new role, you will have
* A minimum of Level 7 on the QQ1 Framework ? BA in Social Care
Studies or relevant qualification in Health or Social Care or in
another related field, however applicants with an NFQ Level 6 or
equivalent in related discipline with extensive experience will be
considered on a case-by-case basis.
* At minimum, 3 years? experience in programme facilitation of
services in a day service or residential setting.
* Good working knowledge of the New Directions frameworks and
person-centred planning process.
* You must possess the competencies and skills appropriate to
working with persons with an intellectual disability.
